Dorset Photographic Retailer Scammed

Posted on 12. Jun, 2009 by rob in News

A camera shop in Dorset has been scammed out of £45,000 work of camera equipment.

Robert White Photographic received an urgent order, seemingly from the BBC World Service, and a taxi was sent to pick up the expensive cameras. When the store checked with the BBC, they had no record of the order.

The items supplied were four Nikon D3x digital SLRs, four D3 models and four 14-24mm lenses.

The serial numbers of the stolen items are:
Nikon D3x, serial numbers: 5011228, 5011232, 5011229, and 5011223
Nikon D3, serial numbers: 2082564, 2086984, 2082270, and 2080220
Nikkor lens 14-24mm, serial numbers: 264476, 263414, 261634, and 263409

Please contact the Police or Robert White Photographic if someone should try and sell you these cameras.
